THE OCTOBER SKY

When THE OCTOBER SKY was six years old, he decided he wanted to be an astronaut, and not much has changed. Raised in a blue-collar family that doesn't really understand his fascination with space and aeronautics, it's no surprise he spent most of his childhood hanging out at his best friend THE RICHIE RICH's, where he was encouraged to ramble on about rockets and shuttles. Intelligent and analytical, his ambition isn't a pipe dream but a possibility, and one he's working toward. He builds rockets as a hobby, and launches them in the school parking lot after hours with the help of THE STAR WARS, who thinks they should enter the state science fair, but has yet to say so. He's been trying to convince his longstanding crush, THE CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN to come watch one of his rocket launches with the hopes of impressing her, but so far she's been too busy babysitting, and he's awkward with kids.
